Advent Adventure 2018, Days 19 & 20

Hello again my dears, I hope that you're all well.

Today I have had the most marvellously chilled out pyjama day.  Just watching tv, and chatting with dad, and adding a few more squares to both my Mitred Squares Blanket, and a matching cushion cover.  We may have also cracked open the booze (Mmmm!  Bloom Limited Edition Jasmine and Rose gin!) and cut into the little Christmas cake that my sister and her husband made for dad.

Anyway, on with the contents of my advent calendars:

December 19th

- Lindt chocolate square.

- Bayliss & Harding scented candle.  I still can't identify what this one is, but it's light and subtle.

- Yankee Candle "Sparkling Cinnamon"

- Kiss makeup coral nail polish.

- Ilchester cheeses Cheddar cheese.

- T2 Gorgeous Geisha green tea.  This was lovely!  I brewed this one up immediately after taking the photo, and it's the best green tea without anything else added to it that I've ever tasted.

- Homespun Wonders merino sock yarn in this gorgeous speckly, fiery yellow and orange colourway.

December 20th

- Lindt mini Lindor.

- Bayliss & Harding Midnight Fig and Pomegranate fragranced soap.

- Yankee Candle "Winter Glow"

- Kiss makeup matte beige eyeshadow. This is literally my perfect transition shade, so I'm really pleased with it!

- Ilchester cheeses Applewood cheese.

- T2 New York Breakfast.  I haven't had the chance to try this one yet, as I spent the entire morning in bed!  I think most of the black teas that I get in the next few days will end up being saved until I get back home, and into something resembling a normal routine again.

- Homespun Wonders merino sock yarn in a sort of slightly peachy yellow.  It doesn't really show up very well in the photo, but there are little hints of a sort of apricot colour in this mini-skein.

I have a dilemma now that I'd appreciate any opinions on, and that is that I've had a fair few yellow shades out of the advent calendar in the last few days, and due to the way that I've chosen to arrange the squares on the cushion cover that I'm currently working on, this presents me with a bit of a problem.

I've been working all of the advent yarns in the order that they come out of the calendar, inter-spaced with squares knit from other random hand dyed mini-skeins that I have, with the exception of days 13 and 14, as this pattern would have placed day 13 right next to day 10, and although day 10 was a variegated blue, the deepest shade in the mix was very similar to the colour of day 13's yarn,  In that case I simply swapped those 2 days around, and the problem was solved, however, that isn't going to work this time:

Even if I swap these over, I'm still putting yellow right next to yellow.  So, the question is:  Do I just suck it up for the sake of keeping a record of the order these yarns came out of the calendar, and have 2 pairs of yellow squares in the middle of the finished cushion cover, or, do I mess with the order, and see what colours come out over the next few days, or, do I abandon the alternate squares plan altogether, and finish this row of squares with contrasting colours from my existing collection of mini-skeins?

Let me know what you think!

Short and sweet today, that's all I've got to show you, so I'll be back again in a day or so.

Night night my dears.
